You are irreplaceable..

It was one of the days where I was so elated to meet Andy. We had make plans to dine in to one of our favorite eating place. That day was special. Somehow, I just have a feeling that we will not be going to where we had planned to. Andy received a call. It was Azdi. He had just lost his girlfriend. “Baby, can we go and visit Azdi?”
That night, the temperature seemed colder than usual. I was feeling anxious and worried about meeting Azdi. Maybe, reason being I do not have much to talk about. Anyway, in my mind, I was thinking on how I should react or response upon seeing him. I have learnt that loving some is temporary as he is just a loan from the universe. Somehow or rather, we should learn to accept it. Azdi lost his girlfriend who was also diagnosed with stomach cancer. During her last few days of her life, she was weak and feeble. Her request was to visit her mother’s grave in Australia. Her insistence of leaving for Australia triggered some anger in him. As a lover, he would not want his girlfriend who is not in a good health condition to be somewhere far from him. It is only natural that he will lose his temper and to reprimand his girlfriend for her stubbornness. On the day she was leaving for the airport, she called him. Little did he know that, it was her last call? Her last words were “Baby I love you” and she requested him to wait for her return. She did not…
As Azdi was in his moment of breaking down, Andy was holding him tight and told him to be strong. He knows that God loves her more. He was slowing accepting the fact that she was no longer beside him. Her presence, her touch, her smile, her voice ….they were to leave him, away from this life. His greatest regret was he did not have a chance to kiss her at her death bed. As she was dying, she called out his name and was holding on to his picture which reminded her of those memories that they had back then. Alhamdullillah, she managed to recite the Kalimah Shahadah. A beatific smile across her faces…
I felt his loss of his love one. It was weird that it seems that I have known him for a lifetime… As I bade my goodbye to him, I hear a whisper in my ears, “Can you hug him please?”… I did not…
I walked away with Andy’s hand in mine… noticing that he was holding on to it tightly too…realizing the fact that this love is temporary…
Someday, my dear, it will be for eternity…
