Love Sweets? Ermm what is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside? Does it remind you of cute little baby buns? Most excitingly, they come in variety of wonderful colors and taste! Yummy! How irresistible can this be? Another interesting fact is these “buns” are born French!
MACAROONS ~ made with egg white, almond powder and sugar icing, with creamy chewy butter cream and ganache…
When I first had one of those macaroons that Andy ordered for me for Hari Raya, I wasn’t quite sure if I liked them. It tasted too sweet that I passed the whole bottle to my brother and the rest of the guests. I have sweet tooth mind you ~ that’s explained the major teeth decay. Those that we had ordered are not to my liking until recently when we were invited by Corrine to her wedding at Inter-Continental. It came about as wedding favors that were wrapped in transparent plastic boxes and colorful ribbons were added to complete the presentation. Arghh. Not Macaroon again! I don’t really like it based on the experience on trying one before this. It was too pretty for me to unwrap but we were hungry waiting for dinner which amazingly consists of exquisite, enticing and heavenly menu to fill our (starving) tummy in. Before the main dinner was served, we secretly ripped open the beautiful packaging and swallowed the macaroons in our mouth. I swear that it tasted just perfect, mouth-watering and fit for the king. I simply love it! I have fallen in love with these sweet pastries. I would really love to have the chocolate ones in my mouth ~ not now I mean! (Let me practice on my biting point first)
So now, Are you thinking of MACAROONS as your wedding favors? It will probably be on my list as for now. We are still sourcing around for wedding favors at the moment. If yes, maybe you can try enquiring with the following MACAROONS Bakers.
Bakerzin
Canele
Macaron
Gobi
Evan’s Kitchen
Mad Baker

P.S: Andy, shall we go for food tasting once I am able tobite you?

It's macarons, not macaroons. Macaroons are the coconut kind with glaced cherry on top. As far as I know, there's no english equivalent spelling for macarons.
Hi Anonymous,
Thanks for highlighting. i have always spelled it as Macaroons or French Macarons...
hihi,
I'm interested in having macarons as my wedding favor too, but due to cost, how many macarons does your friend's wedding packed in a box?
