Sweaty armpit anyone?

It took me a while to realize that I do. Though it is not extreme, the fact that I do, an immediate action need to be taken place. I have only notice it during days where I have lots of emails and reports to be completed. My action? I sprayed more deodorant in order to stop the sweat and to mask the odour. Wrong move! Deodorant does not stop sweat as they work by temporarily neutralize the smell from the bacteria living on the skins in the underarms. This means that it will only help to mask bad odour. It doesn’t help to stop or decrease the production of perspiration in the sweat glands. Naturally, I was concerned because it was getting worst. The more I hide the problem by apply excessive amount of deodorant, the worst it became. It came to a point where the smell can only be hidden for only about an hour or two. That bad huh? Yes it was!

Of course the media was also playing their role by broadcasting those repetitive advertisements on how different variety of deodorants which apparently helps to remove unnecessary body odour and keep the underarms dry. What did I do? I tried out all those different types of products which indeed had an effect on me. However, it was temporary. A certain product named product R, kept my underarms dry and mask off the smell but it darken the color tone of my skin. It darkens it by the day till I had to stop using it permanently. For such a well advertised product, I truly feel that the product should be discontinued. Or is it just me? I don’t really know about other’s feedbacks. Or should I do a survey on it? Nevermind…

My Grandma’s tip was to use lime and scrub the underarms with it while you are taking a bath. I did try and it was useful for a while but a few days later it went back to its original state. Moreover, there was a slight irritation to my sensitive skin when I scrub it against my underarms.

So what did I do next? I goggled for antiperspirant products and “How to remove body odour from the armpit?” That was where I found Dr Mist and Perspirex which help to overcome my issue that I have been facing.

Dr Mist

This is a multi purpose function solution which utilizes just pure water, concentrated salt and minerals same as those found in the Dead Sea. The fluid is sprayed on the skin and once it evaporates, it leaves a thin layer or residue of very fine powder on the skin. This covers the epidermis and act as an effective bactericidal shield that effectively kills-off any bacteria living or come into contact with the skin. Thus, with no presence of bacteria reacting on the sweat, therefore there will be no unpleasant odour.

This spray can be used for:

1. Elimination bad body odour. E.g. underarms, feet.
2. Treating minor cuts, wound, skin ailments such as rashes, swelling, athletes foot and insect bites.
3. It can also be used to flush out toxins and germs in the pores as well as removing discoloration in the affected areas and at the same time to rejuvenate the skin

End Results: After a few months of continuously using the product, my color tone becomes lighter and healthier. It has managed to reduce the sweat glands and keep my underarms dry. It will last me about 8 hours before I start to sweat again. However, the sweat gland is lesser if compared to before. No side effects for me so far.

 Perspirex

This is an antiperspirant that decrease or half the production of perspiration in the sweat glands. Perspirex is a perfume-free and non-staining formulation and is clinical proven to provide the best protection from sweat and odour. One application works for up to five days. With the sweat and odour taken care of, you can also apply a regular scented deodorant or perfume that you love. The unique formulation provides real and lasting protection from sweat and odour. It is so effective that one application will last for about 2 to 3 days for me at least.

I am using the Perspirex Roll on currently and it usually last me about 2 to 3 days after each application. It minimizes irritation thus making it suitable for even the most delicate underarm skin like mine. So no sweat simply means no smell. Sniff sniff….

End Results: After 2 weeks of trying it on, this is one of the best antiperspirant that I ever tried before. This will last more than 48 hours after every application. You have to ensure that that there are no broken skins before applying this. If you do, you will a slight irritation on the skin. I will definitely purchase this for my Fiancé if he wants to use it because he has been trying a lot of products recently. Thanks to the influences of yours truly. I do not know if I will have any side effects using this. Will monitor for it.
