Hello Braces!

Yesterday I had a sleepless night. I was tossing and turning in bed. My head felt like bursting and everything felt so sore and tight. There was a sharp pain in my mouth as my teeth began to get used to the tight metal wire from the braces. When I had my top braces done at the dentist, it was a little painful as the rubber block in my mouth kept on colliding with the gums. I was fickle on the choice of the band colors. I have chosen the violet and then pink and like finally I told the orthodontist to have mine in transparent. Why is it so hard to choose a color? I know myself too well that I will be bored easily if I have chosen a color for the braces band.

I was feeling all fine and well after the procedure and arrived home with a new smile. I positioned myself in front of the mirror countless times. I was trying to practice my speech, my smile. I look kind of ugly but somehow it feels cool to have metal braces brackets glued to your teeth. It’s all for the better I guess! After a few hours, there was a slight pain as my gum began to bleed. I have tried to close my eyes and rest but it seems impossible as I tried to bear with the pain. So lack of sleep now! Cranky and hungry! I am not sure of what to eat as I am not able to chew too much…. Enough of porridge, soup and liquid diet! When can I start crunching again?

P.S: 2.5 years seems like a century! Hello Braces!
