The Wedding Plan – The Card designs and templates

Phew! It has been a while since we had our discussion on the wedding plans. I have this conception on weddings as being perfect! I know that there are no such things as a perfect wedding. Even if I engage an experienced wedding planner, there will tend to be hip cups somewhere here or there. I’m obsessed with details and my own conceptual theme and differentiation of designs. Most of the designs are common or too overrated! I need something that I can personalize or customize to meet my needs. I am fully aware of my constraints such as budgets and timeline but still I want this to be something I can be proud of. Some people might take it as just a one day event and there is no need to put too much time and effort on it. Me being an individualist really want it to be my way. A friend of mine told me that a wedding plan has to be done between the couples and it should be agreed upon each discussion and not only to have things done your way. I pushed aside his feelings at time and was too focus on what I want. When we had our meet up on the wedding discussion recently, I was lost in speech and thoughts. All these while, I had procrastinated too much listening to my egoistic childish feelings. He had his plans too and he really wanted to share it with me. The stubborn me just refuse to listen!

On one of the days when Andy had his tasks to be completed, I stayed at home and began browsing at those piles of wedding magazine again. It is time for me to re-plan again. I held on my charcoal pencils tightly in my hands and began sketching out the outline of wedding gowns that I love to be in. This time I took time to surf the internet with interest that I was doing it for the both of us. I began searching for wedding card templates and design for the guest invitations. Little did I realize that, there were varieties of lovely designs out thereto be chosen. We have also thought about the template that we want (This is a secret! Hahaha). Like finally this girl began to design what she wants so that at least she would have an idea of what she really wants. I gathered my Art stuffs like stencils and stationeries – color pencils, ribbons, colored papers and placed them on my table trying to figure out how to create a “Bride and Groom” theme card. It took me less than 5 minutes to complete it! Do you like it? Andy take a look at it and asked me why the bride's gown is out of shape/crooked like me? What a critic! - My Fiance!

Sourcing out for card designs and template:

- Surf the internet for the readily available design and template – Google, Yahoo

- Print out those selected designs

- Work with someone who is good in designing to help out with those designs and details

- Discuss as a couple on how the contents of the cards will be like

- Come out with the finalized look

- Source out for card printers – the one that we have source in Johor, Malaysia is charging us about RM$0.82 per piece

- Check out the duration for the printout so that it will be in time to be distributed to the guest. This will usually take about 1 to 2 weeks.

P.S: Have fun with the designing….I am having so much fun with mine
