That de-stressing trip with the team...

On the last weekend, my team and I (the Princess) went to Batam, Indonesia to de-stress. It was a pleasure trip ~ to rest and relax. The start of the trip was antagonizing as we had major issue with the Ferry Services Company. It indeed spoilt our entire mood. We almost cancelled the trip as the Customer service front liner wasn’t helping us and providing a service recovery for the loss of our boarding pass. It wasn’t intentionally ~ Tell me who in the right state of mind would purposely lose the ferry boarding pass? Are you accusing us? She didn’t offer us with any solutions! All she could was “No, I can’t!” it was rigid and unacceptable! Her face was expressionless and emotionless. Mel tried to talk some sense into her to help us as we didn’t have much time left to board the ferry. Sadly and disappointingly, we still get the same stupid response from her. We ended up paying an additional $47 for the pass itself. Rotten luck! Why don’t some company provide their staffs with some empowerment and service recovery instead of telling the customer NO? She pissed me off big time as she was wasting our precious half an hour arguing on issuing a new pass for Linda which she refused to replace it for free. I guess it’s the last time that we are going to use their services. No follow up and no initiative from the staff to resolve the issue. How disappointing!

Let’s forget about the damn issue and let me share with you on how relaxing the trip was for us. We indulged ourselves with divine and fit for king menus and dining. We laze in bed while stuffing chocolates in our mouth. We bitched, gossiped and talk about others! Hahaha haha! I didn’t know that gossiping can be this fun especially with your team mates. We were constantly poking into each other’s nerve especially me disturbing my boss and the rest. We chatted non-stop and laughed hysterically everywhere! They are a great bunch of people who doesn’t make me feel left out when im in their company. We are always entertaining one another and included everyone in the conversation. There was never a moment where someone was feeling bored. I hope so …heehehhe…We pampered ourselves with an one and a half hours of body scrub and massage where we feel truly rejuvenated after the session. Though my masseuse is a petite lady, she had great massaging skills and put me to sleep immediately. I enjoyed the whole massaging moment. It was perfect. Everything was! Great food, cool and crazy people surrounding me and taking care of me! I was treated like a true princess as everyone made me feel so loved…..Thanks team for the enjoyable trip and we can start planning for our next team building please! Hooray!

P.S: We do this again please.....
