I am meticulous on planning for projects or processes as my boss, Mr. Lim sets a high expectations on the results. So ultimately, we give 101% in all our projects regardless of its priority. Never would I expect that I will be a dumb working on a planning for some birthday event which was intended for my Fiancé.
I am really not good at doing this. I have never done anything like this before in my life and for anyone. I am not good at coordinating and working with people for such event. This is totally different from work! Seriously! My mindset is always set to negativity that people will not attend or the guest will not be able to make it at the last minute! That would just freak me out!
It takes much effort and courage to ask people to get involve in the planning. Thankfully, everyone was supportive. Almost all of them offered help to either get the cake or to book the event venue and assisted to coordinate and delegate task to one another. Everyone has their own ideology of a perfect birthday surprise! As for me, all I wanted was for Andy to be happy on his special day! Indeed he was!
Two days before the surprise, Andy informed me that he has some chores to be done at the same timing for this birthday dinner. I was alarmed and a little disappointed as all the planning has to go down the drain. Arghh! Not forgetting that I have turned my back against him and decided not to talk to him because of this!!! Hahaha… (Sorry Andy! I was pissed with myself actually for trying to give you a surprise!)
To all my friends and family especially my Brother, Muhammad Zuhaili aka Twees the Bird, thanks for making it happen on his special day. Thanks for being there to celebrate it with us. We are blessed to have you guys as our friends. Thanks for showering Andy with all the gifts, love and wishes!
