Are you hungry, starving and famish? Looking for food right now? Why not take a trip down to BAGUS La Mian and Yong Tau Fu? After that stressful week at the office, I have always looked forward to my weekends. A long day at work means that I could eat like a horse during dinner. So we drove of in search for our favorite eating place for Yong Tau Fu.
At BAGUS, it is an open air concept and limited seating places which is usually crowded and overrated. The price of the Yong Tau fu is a little more costly but there are more assortments of pre-cooked ingredients to be selected. Spoilt for choices! For myself and Andy, the main ingredients that we will choose for this dish will be some soft bean curds, ngor Hiang(superb taste), fish balls, sausages, vegetables and more vegetables for Andy. Once the ingredients have been chosen, you may request for the type of soup and noodles to go along with it. You can have the original Yong Tau Fu soup, or laksa or Tom yam. Again, we squabbled over which soup to go over it (over little things. Always!). He wanted original and I wanted Tom yam. Of course, you should know by now, which flavor we have chosen.
Overall, the taste of the Tom Yam for the day was just fine. It would be better if it is a little bit spicier. But, overall, we ended up bloated again (This is a norm and nothing unusual). We paid about $8 in total for 2 pax. I would like to try the Fried Ngor Hiang roll for the next visit. (Wink to Andy and bring me there again please!)
