Lately, Andy and I have been spending our weekends at my place practicing on our culinary skills. He is always full of ideas on new recipes unlike me. Most of the time, I will leave it up to him to decide on the menu for the day. The good thing about cooking is we get to bond together as a team and work hand in hand to ensure to keep the production going. From the boiling of potatoes to cutting of fruits to the search for the seasonings and dressings. There tend to be disagreements but overall it was fun though it was tiring for me as I had to clear up the piling dishes. Cooking is something that couples can do together other than going out doing activities like watching movies or window shopping. Of course, it will be of an advantage to the guys because you will be able to discover and learn the truth behind your woman cooking skills. You can find out if your other half knows how to cook. Out of 10, I will rate myself 2 points in cooking. Seriously, I am hopeless in cooking but there is always a will and determination in me to learn how to cook. Maybe I can invite you to my house to try out my dishes!! Maybe!!
Andy’s and Idah’s Potato Salad Recipe
What we use:
Potatoes – 7 medium ones (A packet of 7 costs about $1.90)
5 boiled egg white – (A pack of 10 eggs cost about $2.00)
Dressing – Thousand Islands – Cost: $3.85 (your preferred dressing)
Salt – To taste (optional)
How we made it:
- Boil potatoes until soft and cool completely. I boiled them for about 10 minutes and chop them into bite-sized and set aside.
- Boil some eggs and cool them off. Remove the egg yolk and cut the egg white into bite sized too.
- In a bowl, add the potatoes, egg white with the mixture of the dressing. Mix well but not too hard without breaking the potatoes too much.

How we made it:
- Heat up the olive oil on a non-stick pan.

Once the fish is done, serve it on a plate and garnish it with the Parsley flakes.
Total expenditure taken out from the petty cash is $28.70 if compared to the normal food expenses of $40 per dining.
