Cooking with love ~ Pasta alla Carbonara

It was my second attempt on the Pasta alla Carbonara and indeed it tasted better than my former attempt ~ Ermm self praised! The first one was too starchy and easily satiated (jelak in Malay) and I can hardly finish it up. Luckily for us the prawn fritters was appetizing enough to help alleviate the “awful” taste of the whole meal pasta with Carbonara sauce. Don’t ever ask me for more of that! It’s bizarre that Andy enjoys eating it and on second thoughts, he would eat anything and I really mean anything when he is starving and hungry. Good! A simply meal will satisfy his hunger! How lucky! I don’t know how to cook those exotic Indonesian dishes like “Beef rendang. I know I can’t! Hahaha…

Pasta alla Carbonara is an Italian pasta dish based on ingredients such as eggs, Romano cheese, bacon (this can be replaced using chicken instead) and black pepper. In order to cook it my style (Heheheheh), the chicken is stirred fried in the Olive oil. Then, the white pasta paste is dropped into the non-stick pan to finish the cooking for a few seconds. The mixture of eggs and cheese is then combined into the hot pasta to thicken the sauce. I make use of only the egg yolk for this recipe. Keep on stirring the mixture so that the egg won’t cook as much and dissolved in the sauce. The difference this time is I fried the minced beef, mushroom and sliced onions before mixing them in the pasta’s sauce. It’s a combination of chicken and minced beef. Plus lots of cracked black pepper which helps bring out the taste ~ but I guess it was too much though! Hhuhuhuhuh…. To complete the meal, fried chicken batter ~ delicious and yummy! Dont forget to sprinkle some parsley leaves and Parmesan cheese!Hope you guys enjoyed your dinner!

P.S: Can we have this again? I like!
