~ So welcome to Universal Studios Singapore ~
You are entering the thrilling world of movie magic as you “ride the movies” on roller coasters and other movie-themed attractions. Be dazzled and delighted by an immersive entertainment experience that brings the silver screen to life. How exciting can this be!
Warning! This is going to be a seriously long post so please bear with me and at the same time enjoy the pictures which I have taken at the park. I wasn’t able to snap all of it because most of the time, the camera was kept in the safety deposit as we wanted to take a thrill ride on the roller coaster. No loose items like hand phone, cameras allowed. Boo!
Damn! We exceeded the free time period and we had to pay SGD$5 for the locker over that exceeded period of 40 minutes. Everything was expensive ~ from the cuisine/ food menu to the merchandises to the topping up of drinks in our Puss-in-Boots Potion-shaped bottle. It costs us about SGD$4.50 for the refill. The bottle itself costs SGD$12.90. Yes, I wanted it and so the sweet fiancé had to get it for me.
We have forgotten an important fact that it was the school holidays and as expected the crowds were massive. It was overcrowded and the weather itself was burning hot and scorching. I had applied my sun block lotion earlier before I leave home and still I am a shade darker now. Through out the whole outing, andy and I were perspiring due to the heat and we somehow managed to get ourselves a small battery operated fan to cool us off.
Despite the overrated crowds, it didn’t dampen our high hope spirits to try out all the available rides in the studio. I held on to Andy’s fat hands and began skipping happily like a small girl as we make our way on the pavement admiring all the movie theme attractions. At times, we spotted Marilyn Monroe in her sexy white bare back dress walking down the street and I managed to catch a glimpse of Miss Betty Boop! The streets were colorful and people were getting all excited to take a picture with the mascots like those performers in high stilts, Daffy Duck and his girlfriend, Alex the lion and many more. Hehehehhe..I was all hyped up too as I forced Andy to take a shot with me.
Some people can be really rude as they just refused to queue up for the photography session and most are not Singaporean! A hot day plus super rude people equals to frustration. Of course, we just had to let it be as maybe they are just dumb to even understand what we are saying! Come on, where are your manners? Okay cool now….

I was practically closing my eyes during that 2 minutes ride. It was an indoor roller coaster ~ all dark and there were the ride was intensively accelerated and is not for the weak hearted. There were a few high drop which I had experienced and I was screaming through all the way. Phew! What an adrenaline rush! My heart was pumping so fast and my fingers started feeling cold! Okay, I am out of it alive!
Treasure Hunters™
Children can drive their own desert jeep through an abandoned Egyptian excavation site
As we were hungry in Far Far Away, we stopped by at Friar’s (Halal) to have some fish wraps and fries to fill up our empty tummies. I wasn’t feeling too hungry but the man was and so we made the pit stop. The food wasn’t much to my liking and as usual I didn’t manage to finish it up. Wasteful! Friar’s offers fast yet delicious food on the go, where you can select from a variety of wraps including Thai peanut chicken, Tandoori chicken, turkey and more. It was quite pricey for a small set of meal which costs us about SGD$10.
So what are you waiting for? Why wait? Let’s have fun again at the USS! This time maybe I will pack some home cooked food for us…Andy can we go again?
