A day at IKEA with Twees

It has been a while since I went shopping with my brother, Twees. Coincidentally, he wasn’t working on my annual leave day and so I dragged him to hell with me. Off we went to IKEA on a hot and blazing afternoon.

Even at mid-day, the place was fully packed with shoppers. Those little kids running around, those oversized baby prams occupying the limited space in the showroom and those unfamiliar foreign languages. Those keen parents browsing through the catalogs; and leaving their children screaming around under the care of the preoccupied domestic helper. The question here is, “Why don’t you just leave your children at home?”

“Idah, Can we skip the showroom? Let’s just grab our stuffs and go!” – Brother

That’s a great idea after realizing the chaotic situation. It’s not that I do not like children but I really feel that they should behave. If you are nice and behave yourself, then I will be kinder to you. Else, I can foresee myself dragging my children home if they happen to misbehave. Cheh! Hehehehhe…Talk is cheap okay! Yes I know! I am sure that when I do have kids, I will leave them to Andy to discipline them.

Checklist for the day:

- Serviettes holder

- A box of red wine glasses

- A box of IKEA Espresso cups and Saucers

- A set of Reko Glasses

- A white transparent jug

- An Ordining Cutlery stand

- Godis Mix glasses

- 2 sets of mixed Cutlery

- A box of IKEA Knives set

- 6 Jars with lid

- My White bed sheet spread

- 3 cushion pillows

- A new wall clock for my room

- A white foldable chair for my study table

When I got back home, my mum was the happiest person in the world looking at how her children went all the way to IKEA just to get for her the kitchen/dining utensils. As long as she is happy, I will be happy too. The damages for the day is about $200 – as long as my mum is happy, it’s alright ….

P.S: Are you done with your Raya shopping?
