That last BBQ Session

Location:

Kak An’s Place
Tampines

When was the last time that you had your own BBQ gathering in your home? For me, it has to be my pre-braces time when we decided to have it at Andy’s sister’s place. It was organized as we wanted to treat the family and thanked them for time and commitments in helping us through the engagement event. For it was meant for a family gathering and we are enjoyed ourselves by filling up our tummies with those mouth-watering food ~ Non-stop! I was indulging myself in the Chili Crab that was perfectly cooked by Andy’s mum! How Ermm heavenly! Can I have more of it please?

Barbecue or barbeque with the abbreviations BBQ is a method and apparatus for cooking meat or poultry with the heat and hot smoke of a fire, smoking wood or hot charcoals or even electricity. This may include the application of a marinade, spice rub or basting sauce to the meat or vegetables. The common meat used for BBQ will be chicken wings, sliced beef or mutton, sausages, seafood such as mussels, cockles, sliced fish and prawns. You may also include vegetables such as potatoes and yams. Before the grilling is done, the meats are marinated beforehand with your own choices of spices. Leave it for a while in the fridge. While waiting for the spices and herbs to be ready, you can start preparing other additional dishes for the day such as pasta, salads and breads. As BBQ is usually done in an outdoor environment, better get that griller ready and set before you can start barbecuing! Just let the guys do the “dirty” work! Haha…

P.S: A BBQ would be nice in a cool and breezy weather by the beach…
